I am giving it a 4 star rating only for one reason: this stool is higher than 26". In fact, it's about 29". See my picture below, showing my previous red stool (26"), this denim stool (29"), and the counter. Still debating if we are going to keep it. The only other thing to keep in mind is while assembling it (which is pretty straightforward -- took me 10 minutes for each stool), keep the legs pretty loose in the beginning since you need to fit the square metallic footrest between the legs and need them to move around to accommodate the footrest. This steel frame is molded by injecting polyurethane foam. The seat is upholstered with a removable zipper-enclosed leather, PPM, leatherette, or wool fabric slip cover. This is a unique stool with a comfortable upholstered seat and backrest on steel legs available in powder with gold bracelets and footrest and walnut veneer with stainless steel brushed bracelets and footrest. Each leg is tipped with a plastic glide inserted into the foot.

These are sooo nice. The legs are solid and heavy so the whole construction feels sturdy. They already had some kind of felt or something at the bottom of the legs so Im not worried about scratching the floor. The swivel is smooth and even. I wanted a sleek high barstool with backs and a swivel without taking up too much room and these are perfect! Really good quality.
