This is a extremely well made, high quality desk of solid wood. It comes completely preassembled out of the box and mine had no defects. That said, it is extremely heavy so you definitely need help removing it from packaging and placing it. The color is more of a dove gray with some natural variation but I wouldn’t say it is distressed. It has a classic appeal but the shape and drawer pulls make it look a little more modern. Plenty of storage and the drawers are beautifully made and slides work well. I placed this desk in my home office and love the softness and femininity it brings to the room.. Laurel. Rockville, MD.
