Still waiting on the chairs for this table. The base is heavy and the wood is excellent quality. I wish the tabletop were about an inch thicker, as it is quite thin with a very thick/dense base which throws off the aesthetics a bit. The pedestal for the table to sit on is attractive and easy enough to put together if you turn it sideways and not straight up and down, the top was easy to assemble, but there seems to be less than perfection in the adjoining pieces of the two table tops and whatever I tried, I could not get the entire length to close completely however, it’s still beautiful. We put a runner down the length of the seam in the two tops and you can’t see it and it feels really strong and sturdy and as attractive and easy enough to assemble if you have some Mechanical ability that’s all.. I was really excited to find this table. It was exactly what I was searching for. Rustic, elegant, transcendent. The wood work is really beautiful. The color is soft and feminine, but could stand up against other colors, textures and vibes. I worried that the surface would be splinter-y especially for my young niece and nephew but it’s smooth and non threatening. Expect that there will be some small natural wood defects like this knot I shared a photo of, or some filled in cracks/splits. I think it adds to its natural charm, but if that isn’t the type of table you’re looking for this one may not be for you. Table was delivered today. Three weeks ahead of the estimated delivery, about 6 weeks after I ordered it. I paid extra for assembly and in-place delivery and I think it was worth the extra cost because the delivery guys were great and fast. Table doesn’t have any scratches or marks. I ordered the aurora color and it’s a bit darker than I’d hoped. I thought it would match my existing chairs more closely. The finish is so dark that the wood grain doesn’t show through. I don’t hate the finish, just not what I was expecting. Difficult to tell from pictures online. It appears to be a good, solid, well-made piece of furniture. I gave it 4 stars because the table is nice but deducted a star for not being able to tell the true color of the finish from the online photos. Update the aurora color table was just too dark so I returned it and ordered the flax color. Wayfair made the return easy because they had it picked up for a reasonable charge. Returning the original table cost me a bit of money but I’m happy with the flax color. The color is a bit lighter than the samples shown on the website. Nice table and seems well made and of good quality. Assembly was very easy, but it is heavy so I suggest you have help. I chose the 60” table which looks pretty small and will require smaller chairs in order to fit under and between the legs Two issues I have...one is the color I chose (walnut) had a touch of red which it shouldn’t have. The other thing is I would have liked a more natural edge pattern. This one matches the other side exactly, which isn’t what I had in mind.
