I selected this particular table because the wood grain was real and not simulated. I was not disappointed! Assembly involved screwing 4 bolts per leg into threaded insert on the underside of the table top. They even provided a hex drive for a cordless screwdriver to expedite assembly. One curious element was how the legs were strapped into the back of the table with staples — which detracted from my perceived vale of the table. Nice, solid coffee table thats unique and stands apart from the other rectangular options. Installation was simple but the flat surface doesnt smoothly align with the curve of the leg pieces. This could be fixed by adjusting the metal braces on the underside but i didn't bother with it since the gap was minimal. Sits low, but I was able to find low ottomans that slide under the table. Haven't had any issues with the burl surface yet, time will tell if there's any potential peeling or damage. This is a heavy 30" coffee table. Very easy to put together. I did it by myself - maybe 20 min. tops? Wood is nice - I think acacia wood which is sturdy. If you like the style it looks very much as pictured. I have 63" between the sofa chaise ends, and could have taken a 34 or 35" round, but I didn't want to have to scoot around it every time we sat down. 30" gives a place for things. Amazing! I love this table and it was so easy to assemble. The top is a little rough so if you have littles, it might be worth a sand or top coat. The only “concern” I had was that the bottom piece looks to be made out of plywood and a thin piece of wood. Otherwise it looks amazing!
