This collection is an heirloom quality chest that you can pass down to your grandchildren. The value of American hickory is not only in its strength but also in its unique color and rich grain variations. The dark streaks range from a blonde hue to a dark brown which emphasizes hickory's natural beauty. Along with the modern Arts and Crafts fret work that transitions well into any home, Hickory is a high-density wood that is extremely resilient to surface damages and is as smooth as glass.
This dresser is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Light wood furniture is hard to find. I was coordinating with a few pieces I already have so was particular. The description is accurate. The wood and finish are beautiful. You can see the care that went into getting the coloring in the wood on each draw to go together. Be aware, this piece is REALLY heavy. I couldn't get the drawers out easily which was a hindrance but with a dolly my husband and I were able to maneuver it into place. Very satisfied!. Patricia. Livingston, SC. Wed May 23 2018
