I love how open it is. I kind of wish this one came with the step. Im not sure if the cats would use it, though. I already have one, and it has the front opening. My cats are both good size. This ones a little bit easier. I think for cats to go in and out of. Im not sure how long the bottom piece will last as it seems to be more material than hard plastic. I have had this now for about a month and I love it. I plan on getting another one and replacing the other one as they use this one most often. The other is the typical small opening and the waste draw is small and always needs to be adjusted as nothing falls forward and I can't find the right size bags, no company to order supplies from.. So far I'm loving this automatic litter box. It does a good job of separating waste and the waste bin is fairly large. It came with a box of 45 waste bags as well as a litter mat which was a nice bonus I wasn't expecting. Because it's open on the top, it never fully closes when working so there's no danger of a cat getting stuck. It also has sensors that I tested with my hands to make it stop if it detects something in the box while it's cleaning and the sensors worked well. Ive been using this for a few weeks and so far so good. Its been an adjustment for the cats because the motor scares them a little. But theyve come around one by one. The set up was very easy. I’ve been working pretty good so far at this point the tray at the bottom where the litter Citizen is was having a little issue with it coming up on one side and then all of a sudden now it stays, we’re supposed to. We’ve been working really really well. I think it’s just finding the correct type of litter for the box really helped. The cat seem like they like it a lot. I have two bangles that are been really pleased with it. I am extremely thankful because I don’t have to worry about scooping litter anymore however, there’s a occasion where I have to kind of move around the letter to get it off the tray so that it will clean itself out..
