Standard Litter Box

There are two doors, one on top and one in front. The front door works both ways, the top door opens outwards. I did have to make sure the cover was snapped together properly so the front door didn't catch. The front is hinged to lift up further if needed for cleaning. I really appreciate the slots in the front of the box to catch litter back into the pan. It works well in conjunction with the stool to help prevent litter being scattered on the floor. I also like the scent absorber in the top. The holder for it will accommodate other scent absorbers when it needs to be replaced. It also comes with a stainless steel scoop that can be conveniently hung on the side of the pan. You do have to put it together when it comes in. Instructions are included. They are easy enough to understand and assembly is pretty straightforward. The cover is two parts that snap together with plastic tabs. Then the cover goes on the stainless steel pan and snaps on with side latches. You can undo the latches to take the top off if needed. Love the size and wedge shape. Lasts forever, just pricey. Only corner box that fits in our laundry room and we can still open the dryer because the curved edge doesn't block it. We had the top entry for years and it holds up super well with occasional deep cleaning. Our cats are getting older, so we decided to try the front entry. A bit more litter gets on the floor with the front entry because our babies get serious about burying their treasure, but a litter trap mat will solve that issue. The box is truly extra large. One of my cats is 20 lbs, long and fluffy (big furry tail) and she fits fine with room to turn around. The walls are high enough to catch anything if they lift but low enough where they don't feel trapped and scared to enter. I left one of their old boxes next to the new one just in case! They've been using both. I put a 28 lb. Box of litter (Slide purple multi-cat) and it doesnt go all over the place because of the walls and the step to get out. I also have a short step in front of the box because it is a high entrance. Not that they couldn't jump in...just spoiled! So far easier to clean than plastic and no scratches in the steel box vs. Plastic where the odors and germs hide. I am buying another as I know they will use it.. Valerie. Monroeville, NJ.
