Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. Impressed with the amount of roosting space plus ground space. I plan on redoing the latches on the roosting boxes as they aren’t the strongest and predators “could” get in or my chickens could get out. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. We will have it inside. Covered run with a water proof cover so hopefully it will last a little while. The bottom metal tray seems fragile. I hope it can withstand the weight of 4 chickens. This is a great chicken coop for my 7 chicks! It went together fairly easy, and overall it's pretty sturdy! I'll probably take a couple extra measures to really predator proof it, but it's perfect for backyard chickens. My only concern is that the black asphalt roof started separating peeling off of the lip of the roof. Might just be from the hot Arizona heat, though. I do like that it has multiple access doors and it has the slide out tray for cleaning. The chicks love jumping up on the roosting bars and the chicken swing is a nice touch! When I ordered this, the pictures were of a completely different coop, so it was a little misleading. However, once assembled I think this will still suit our needs. We are raising 4 chicks currently and this will be a good interim home as we build a larger run and coop. This is a really nice chicken coop. It did take three people to put it together and took us a total of 5 hours to put together.(older people so took longer) It will fit 6-8 regular chickens but we put 10 frizzle chickens in it with plenty of space for them. (frizzles are less than half the size of regular chickens) The wire around the bottom is great at keeping out predetors but we dug down about a foot and put wire to keep them from digging under. The chicken coop with run arived the date stated in my order confirmation.  Upon opening the boxes i noticed some of the pieces were warped. The directions have room for improvement. Theres many timesI was guessing at the placement of the next part. 2 if us did get it assembled correctly in 1.5 hours. I didnt assemble it where i want it as there were so many pieces and still wintery out so i assembled it inside. Ive been told we will use a couple of 2x4s or similar to move it as the quality is questionable. The coop itself is super cute and larger than i expected. I bought this as a starter coop and I’m in love with it. The directions weren’t as detailed as I’d like. It’s not high quality at all but it’s fine for what I need. It’s also two identical coops so you do have to swap the sides of some boards if you want them both front facing but it was simple to do.
