Our Eclectus parrot likes the space: even the bump out for the Victorian flourish top. He quickly explored the inside and outside of the cage, treats and water from the new bowls and perch, and enjoyed sittling like a king on the perch stretched in the Victorian top opening. Excellent cage for sugar gliders because it’s safe (after securing the sliding doors) and spacious…but will likely need to be replaced every 12-18 months due to extensive rusting. Took a star off for that. Most cages will eventually rust with sugar gliders in them, but this one rusts quickly. Doors are large enough to fit the Free Runner and Raptor wheels in, but a bit too small to comfortably clean the cage interior. This is a very large cage. It was time consuming putting together but well worth it in the end. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I did put it together by myself and it took about 2 hours. Comes with a long skinny perch and 2 small food bowls. They are not big enough for my bird but nice to have included. I love this bird cage! I was able to assemble on my own until lifting the cage to assemble to the base. The instructions were wrong in stating that the short screws serial were required to attach. Use the long screws. The other flaw was that on the Allen wrench the short end should have the screw driver as it was near impossible to use what was provided. From past experience I saved the box it was packed in right til completion and top finnial was missing!! Very disappointed but will find something else to put on top. Overall it’s a decent cage. It’s attractive, and I believe my Senegal Parrot (Zazoo) will enjoy it. We are moving to a new house in a different city and hour away. I currently have a high end powder coat cage that has much thicker bars and overall heavier construction. Zazoo turns 25 this year, and we wanted a more affordable cage incase he is near the end of his lifespan. We hope he’ll like his new home. The cage was well-packed and the only damage was to one of the sliding pans. It was dented and chipped, but I’m not concerned. The directions were okay, but I had to look at a photo of the cage for installation of the cage locks. It ended up being very easy. I think for the price, the cage is worth it.. Mark Wilson.
