Red Bird Houses

The fabulous Hotel California is now available as the third in our line of Purple Martin birdhouses. This ten-room, fully functional birdhouse is inspired by the main pavilion of the iconic Del Coronado Hotel. A San Diego landmark, the'' Del'' has welcomed presidents, royalty, and Hollywood celebrities for over 100 years. Home Bazaar's dramatic Victorian design with its signature red roof and peek-a-boo dormers is topped off with a cupola proudly flying an American flag. This house comes equipped with a mounting base with a sleeve for setting on top of a standard 4 x 4 base. In order to attract purple martins, the recommended location of this house should be a combination of open fields and water. The house should be 12 to 14 feet high. For display purposes only, Home Bazaar recommends the column pedestal (HB-2008P.)

Resembling a traditional European facade, this birdhouse provides a roost for any feathered friend that needs a spot for their baby chicks or to shelter in inclement weather. A loop on the textured metal roof makes it easy to hang from a tree or pole, but it's just as welcome on a flat surface in your garden or backyard. It's made from weather-resistant solid pine wood, and it comes in a two-tone finish that adds a rustic country feel to any area. Plus, a removable panel in the back helps clean up after birds have left their home.

Birthday gift well received. Anonymous. Mon Jun 01 2026

This charming freestanding birdhouse is sure to draw your feathered friends – as well as compliments from guests and family members. The house is made from bronze and has a red painted finish that’s been purposefully distressed for a weathered look. The pagoda-style roof is unfinished metal with an aged patina that adds to the vintage appearance. We love the bronze-colored detail over the door, the perch, and the elongated decorative finial on the top that adds height and visual interest. This birdhouse is weather- and UV/fade-resistant so holds up well in the elements.

Cutest hanging birdhouse. We’ve had it for awhile and it’s holding up outside in our Florida heat. We get many compliments on it! Love the color and cute roof top!. Kimberly. Largo, FL. Sat Aug 08 2026

Traditional barns were about common sense and usefulness—and economics or not style. Fast forward to today’s version of the Old Glory Barn, with a gambrel roof and painted the conventional red once used to protect the wood elements. All about function and not décor decisions. Capitola bills itself as California's oldest beach resort. It features trendy shops and restaurants on its shore directly connecting to a fishing wharf and its large, sandy beach. In the summer of 1961 hundreds of birds attacked the town. Alfred Hitchcock, who was a regular visitor to nearby Santacruz, read about this episode and went on to direct a film. The birds are based on the idea of hundreds of birds attacking humans. The reason for this attack remained unknown for over 25 years until it was discovered that the birds had been affected by domoic acid, a toxin produced by red algae. This house comes equipped with a mounting bracket for easy installation. A hole will allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches, and titmice to nest. The roof is topped with sturdy pine shingles. Ventilation, drainage, and a removable back wall make this house fully equipped for years of use.

The lighthouse birdhouse is a spot-on replica of the famous located at the easternmost point of Long Island, New York. The construction of the lighthouse was authorized by none other than President George Washington and bears the distinction of being the first public works project of the United States. The (in) famous pirate Captain Kidd is said to have buried treasure at the foot of the lighthouse, but it's yet to be found. This red and white lighthouse is a fully functional birdhouse featuring two nest boxes with openings, a removable back for yearly cleaning, drainage, ventilation, and unpainted interiors. The entire structure is built upon a river stone foundation and a custom-fit mounting plate makes installation a snap!

I had a birdhouse from this company for a few years. Normally, I bring it in during the winter and put it in the shed. Last year I didn’t and our harsh winner destroyed it. This time I decided to replace it with a completely different style. Instead of looking like a house, I got a light house. I have a little bit of an ocean theme going in the backyard and the lighthouse just fit perfectly.. Debbie. Citrus Heights, CA. Tue May 13 2025

Beautiful Gift for Bird Lovers! I bought this smart hummingbird house as a gift, and it was a huge hit! The camera works great — the video quality is clear, and it’s so fun to watch the hummingbirds up close in real time. The solar feature make it really convenient, and the wooden house itself is adorable and well-made. The only downside was that the packaging could have been better. It didn’t look very presentable for gifting when it arrived, which was a little disappointing. But once it was set up, everything worked perfectly and looked beautiful in the garden. The birdhouse is cute, but it’s made very poorly. There was a gap in one of the joints were it was put together. It does not hang straight so I don’t think this is gonna last but maybe a season or two. Donna. Casa Grande, AZ. Mon Aug 24 2026
