It’s beautiful and I love it!! A bird family chose it for their nest!!! Imagine their disappointment when wind blew it over and killed their eggs. It stands on one long copper pipe with four copper legs. Now 3. We had to bend the leg that had completely came apart at welding spot and put it over one of the intake legs. I’ve never spent this much on a bird house. I bought a few when I bought this style. Out of my 28 birdhouses this WAS my favorite.. Anonymous. Fri May 08 2026

The birdhouse is incredibly beautiful and elegant, However it was slightly dented in several places and it was too complicated to return it as it is large. The Byer of Maine Alcyon Return Bird House’s design will add flair to your garden while providing a safe place for songbirds away from the harassment of larger birds. Designed specifically with small birds in mind, your chickadees, wrens, and other small birds will love this weather-proof stoneware home. Its deep design is perfect for raising young, and the small 1⅛” opening will make it difficult for larger birds like crows and jays from harassing and raiding the nest. It’s easy to maintain this bird home: just remove the plug on the bottom to remove old nesting material once the birds are finished with it. We recommend hanging this house in a shaded area. A forged steel hanging hook comes with purchase, and is ideally designed to hold the weight of this birdhouse. The Byer of Maine Return Bird Home comes in three colors: blue, red and green. The complete dimensions are 7”L x 7”W x 7”H.

The chapel birdhouse is inspired by the traditional gothic arches of European churches, this birdhouse has 1 ½” detailed entry holes for 6 nesting areas. These nesting areas are divided into approximately 3.5” x 3.5” areas and the divider can be removed for cleaning. The chapel birdhouse platform has drain holes on all four corners and the roof is removable for easy access and maintenance. The house also is vented near the roofline while still protecting the nesting cavities from the elements. The chapel birdhouse is constructed from PVC to last for many years of enjoyment without having to worry about rotting or cracking. Use the permanently attached mounting collar over a true 4”x 4” post for yard installation.
