From the Claire Murray Nantucket Colonial, this dramatic Claire Murray Nantucket Colonial 16 in x 16 x 11 in Birdhouse might be seen overlooking the dunes of “Sconset'' or maybe looks like your next-door neighbor's house. Birds will love the commanding view from the widow's walk or will most certainly enjoy pushing the fledglings out of this 3 story masterpiece. The house is big, so it will require a post mounting or one of our signature pedestals. Constructed of kiln-dried hardwood, exterior grade ply-board, and finished with outdoor paint.

A year later and many storms later, this birdhouse still looks as it did when I bought it. We did put a thin coat of clear sealant on it as well. Everyone walking by compliments it.. Danielle. Tuckerton, NJ. Thu Sep 10 2026

Constructed with today's birds in mind, the home bazaar's charming 1920s Dutch colonial home sports its distinctive profile. It's not uncommon to hear it described as a barn house. The double-angled, gambrel roof allowed a complete second story to be built at minimal expense. One infamous Dutch colonial, the Amityville horror house, situated in a suburban neighborhood in long island, new york was the site of a series of mysterious murders. To this day, Amityville residents report paranormal phenomena in and around the house. A hole will allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches, and titmice to nest. The roof is topped with sturdy pine shingles. Ventilation, drainage, and a removable back wall make this birdhouse as functional as it is spooky.

Love this!. Anaise. Milwaukie, OR. Tue Sep 08 2026

Capitola bills itself as California's oldest beach resort. It features trendy shops and restaurants on its shore directly connecting to a fishing wharf and its large, sandy beach. In the summer of 1961 hundreds of birds attacked the town. Alfred Hitchcock, who was a regular visitor to nearby Santacruz, read about this episode and went on to direct a film. The birds are based on the idea of hundreds of birds attacking humans. The reason for this attack remained unknown for over 25 years until it was discovered that the birds had been affected by domoic acid, a toxin produced by red algae. This house comes equipped with a mounting bracket for easy installation. A hole will allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches, and titmice to nest. The roof is topped with sturdy pine shingles.
