Very well made. James. Belle Chasse, LA. Thu Sep 17 2026

When space is limited, the half umbrella provides the same great shade and features as a standard umbrella, flush against a wall or side of a house. The easily tilts front to back with a simple push of a button and easily closes with a turn of a knob.

Pretty good umbrella. One of the few half umbrellas with adjustable height and tilt (somewhat) that I could find. I have experienced the same problem as other reviewers in that if I open the umbrella according to the instructions, it wont stay open. Once I realized that I should open it from the back, pushing down on the center piece (see picture), rather than pulling down on the bottom rails, I was golden. Try opening it like you would a rain umbrella and make sure it clicks into place firmly. Otherwise, the size and shape offer us flexibility. We even open it and leave it vertical to block our large picture window to keep out the heat/sun (see picture). Want to buy another to cover another angle/patio door, but they are out of stock.... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice umbrella. It is pretty heavy though so I suggest having someone help you with it. It was easy to put up and it's easy to take down. It is made very well. The metal is solid and strong. The fabric from the umbrella is thick and durable. Great material. Narineh. Seymour, CT. Fri Jun 26 2026

Between the wind, rain, and scorching sunlight, plenty of things can degrade your shade umbrella’s quality and leave you without protection during the hottest months of the year. If you're looking for a market patio umbrella that can withstand the elements, you'll want one with fiberglass ribs and an aluminum pole. The fiberglass ribs are flexible, so they will not snap as quickly on windy days. Meanwhile, the aluminum center pole is both lightweight and strong to provide the support to hold aloft the canopy and its eight ribs. When in use, the umbrella’s ribs can be eased open by turning the crank centered on the pole, and the collar tilt mechanism lets you tilt the canopy for angled shade. Plus, the beautiful fabric comprises Pacifica fibers, a house blend of solution-dyed polyester material backed by a 4-year warranty to resist staining, mildew, and fading. With the protective features this umbrella offers, you can relax with the knowledge that this umbrella will steadfastly shade you and your patio during the blistering heat of summer.
