I bought this for my balcony and just now assembled. The wood is nice quality from what I can tell, but more importantly, this thing is very well designed for a flatpack bench/sofa. The cushions are incredibly comfortable, too! It's nice and wide, it feels so good to lie down on. The description recommends treating and sealing the wood, by the way. Before I put the cushions on, I mixed a mixture of 1:1.5 beeswax and mineral oil, and with gloves on, painted this onto every surface of the wood. I went in with a hairdryer after and melted this wax into the pores of the wood, wiping with a rag as I went to soak up excess. I finished with a good rub of mineral oil on top and wiped all excess. Exceptional Quality! This solid teak bench is solid through and through! It shipped very quickly and was very nicely packaged! Upon opening the box, the sweet teak wood aroma was very nice! Assembly was extremely easy, eight screws and done. It has a decent amount of weight but not heavy. The finish is smooth and it sits comfortably at 14 inches wide. We have a very long covered outdoor entrance and I have been looking for something to put in that space. Then I saw this bench, and although it’s a bit pricey, it’s worth it! Absolutely gorgeous! I plan to add a metal wall art piece to finish it off. The entryway looks warm and inviting now and it’s also a great place to sit and wave at my neighbors. I am so pleased with this purchase!. Lisa. Gorgeous, heavyweight tea, precision fitting of joints. Sturdy is an understatement….just a warning, pay attention to the tiny stickers that are numered and lettered as the leg stickers should match up precisely with the bench stickers on each side. This Costello Backless Teak Garden Bench creates a great seating spot for areas where chairs or high backbenchers aren't functional. Due to its extremely solid construction, this bench would do good in commercial environments. The seat has a slight curve for extra comfort. We also offer this bench in a 4-foot length.
