This hutch has been great for our 4 guinea pigs, they have plenty of room and the unscreened doors offer them a area that helps them feel safe and secure. The included instructions to put the hutch together arent the best but its pretty easy to figure out what piece goes where. The ramps inside of the hutch could pose an issue for some critters because it is a pretty steep incline that you may need to add something extra like peel and stick sand paper or small pieces of wood to offer your critters something they can get traction on. The hutch does have a strong odor in the beginning but it does dissipate over time. The interior is easy to wipe down and clean and the removable drawer floors on both levels make it easy to just pull out the drawer and dump in a trash bag. Pretty good. Holes are predrilled but only on outer edges. Be careful when screwing together because it can split very easily. It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. I rescued some baby squirrels that had lost their mother and it was perfect for them until they were old enough to set free. This cage has a great size for small animals, thus for my two young female mice it's huge. It's really good that we don't need any tool to assemble the cage, it's just adjust the wires and use the clips to fix it with the bottom. The bottom is sturdy ans strong, I like it a lot. It just don't have 5 stars because the wires of one side stayed with a larger gap then the other, so I had to put the plataform on the front opening side to prevent the scape of my young mice. I bought this twice . I have quails in this . Easy to put together lovely accent piece and perfect for my family room. Plenty of space for 10 quail .
