UPDATE: I received new hardware from Toltec Lighting very quickly, and the socket was the correct length this time. There was never a question that the pendant light wasn't beautiful. Quality control was the problem. After getting it all hung up and connected to the wires of the chandelier we replaced, the last stwp was securing the shade to the socket using the socket ring. The socket, however, was too short, and therefore the shade could not be secured. Wayfair's response was to contact the manufacturer even though I ordered the item from Wayfair.. Barbara. They are lovely in person. I love love love the deep tones of the brushed gold hardware on them. It is not shown in the photos but the top piece matches the rod and it's all very high end looking. These are not lightweight and cheap, they are heavy and stylish. I think the cream color with the crackle finish gives them a nice interesting look without committing to a metallic for the whole pendant and also without being plain glass or plain white.
