Updated review: I received a replacement set which arrived very well packaged and in excellent condition and included the instructions which the original did not have. After reading the instructions I realized that the original set was in fact functional, the lights have a very discreet on/off button that I didn’t notice before it’s well hidden. The button is on the bottom where the stake goes in. For the hassle I’m giving it three stars but the lights do work very well and customer service came through like they always do. The lights light our pathway very nicely. The fixtures were easy to install, however I did not use the connectors that were supplied, they were not the best quality. These lights are great. They have been working since I installed them without any problems. I mounted one low to the ground to just light up when we walk to the hot tub at night, and it does just that. It also lights up when my dogs walk past it which is fine. We just didn’t want to light up the whole back yard because we like to watch the stars at night from the hot tub. So mounting one closer to the ground is perfect! The posts are a hard plastic and were easy to push into the ground. The light pattern is pretty and provides adequate light to see at night. This lighting is going to be perfect for illuminating under our back deck. It will light up our grill on the lower patio perfectly to do evening grilling. I have not wired them in yet because we have 4 feet of snow on the ground at the moment where I live, but they are very durable and I did test the light on another wire and they are very bright without being too LED and in your face.
