This is another one of those things that I loved when I saw it and then saw it again...and again. So I finally got it! So happy with it. It is absolutely perfect in the room I got it for. Do note that the lamp comes with plenty of cord and chain to hang it from a higher ceiling. I have a standard height ceiling in the room pictured and installed the lamp by using just the chain lock connector that came with the supplied chain. It worked beautifully, with the lamp not hanging too low in the room for my preference when installed this way. The metal finish on this is very nice as are all of the glass pieces. Installation was pretty straightforward, with the part that took the longest being attaching the glass pieces to the frame. I looked at so many chandeliers to find the right one to replace the old dark amethyst crystal chandelier that was hanging in our house when we bought it 13 years ago. We needed something simple and airy, and I was drawn to this fixture because of that. I ordered during Way Days, so it was a great buy. I put it together myself while watching TV with my daughter. It was like doing a puzzle! The electrician removed the old fixture and installed this one (with a medallion from a local hardware store that I painted with ceiling paint). Installed six LED chandelier bulbs, and it is very bright! Love the little metal details around the candlesticks. The center decoration isn't wood, but really, really looks like wood.
