This is another one of those things that I loved when I saw it and then saw it again...and again. So I finally got it! So happy with it. It is absolutely perfect in the room I got it for. Do note that the lamp comes with plenty of cord and chain to hang it from a higher ceiling. I have a standard height ceiling in the room pictured and installed the lamp by using just the chain lock connector that came with the supplied chain. It worked beautifully, with the lamp not hanging too low in the room for my preference when installed this way. The metal finish on this is very nice as are all of the glass pieces. Installation was pretty straightforward, with the part that took the longest being attaching the glass pieces to the frame. This chandelier showed up so well packaged, I was blown away. Two cardboard boxes within a large cardboard box, separated by a piece of Styrofoam. The top box had all of the parts shown in the pictures above, and the bottom box held the glass seeded shades for the lights, each tucked into Styrofoam and with Styrofoam inserts. Nothing was scratched or broken. Made of a lightweight aluminum material and coated in a bronze finish, it should be an easy installation as the fixture will not be heavy. Months ago, I purchased a Kichler chandelier, and it was so cheaply made, with plastic parts, that one of the eyes broke and we were unable to finish the installation. I looked at so many chandeliers to find the right one to replace the old dark amethyst crystal chandelier that was hanging in our house when we bought it 13 years ago. We needed something simple and airy, and I was drawn to this fixture because of that. I ordered during Way Days, so it was a great buy. I put it together myself while watching TV with my daughter. It was like doing a puzzle! The electrician removed the old fixture and installed this one (with a medallion from a local hardware store that I painted with ceiling paint). Installed six LED chandelier bulbs, and it is very bright! Love the little metal details around the candlesticks. The center decoration isn't wood, but really, really looks like wood.
