Go beyond the kitchen with the Alpine Outdoor square grill basket – it’s ideal for sautéing, stir-frying, and roasting outdoors. Crafted from enameled cast iron and specifically designed for cooking over an open flame, the grill basket is completely encased in a rugged matte black enamel that is ready to use and requires no seasoning. Perforations in the bottom of the basket keep small items from falling through, while still allowing heat to reach the food for smoky chargrilled flavor. It’s perfectly sized to fit on most grills with enough room to grill alongside a wide surface area for even cooking. The raised loop handles make it easy to maneuver on the grates, yet with a low-profile design that allows grill hoods to close. Durable and easy to clean, the Alpine Outdoor square grill basket is ideal for fish and shellfish, asparagus and other small vegetables, French fries, and more.

Heavy! Not sure why this would be better than a regular cast iron. Daniel. Wed Jul 08 2026

A little disappointed as I didn’t read the specs. I assumed it would be like the Essential skillets I have. It isn’t a non-stick surface. But, bought for camping so we’ll see how it goes. Anonymous. Ann Arbor Mi. Tue Jul 28 2026

This will be my new go to pan. It is solid, sturdy yet ergonomic with the handles. The depth is great for sautéing. The true red color will make this a fun pan to use for serving spicy appetizers. It holds heat extremely well. The dual pour sections make it easy to drain off any extra, unwanted fluid. The box was shipped, wrapped in bubble wrap. That was a good precaution. The box still came with some corner damage but the pan itself was fine. The package was heavy so it makes sense it might take a bit of a beating during shipping. Read the instructions! This is not like my traditional, old cast iron pans. It seems this does not season to a non-stick interior finish. The instructions suggest a bit of fat when heating to properly heat and cook foods. Not an issue for me so this will be a great go to for cooking. Highly recommend at this price point. I look forward to adding other Lava products to my cooking arsenal.. Leslie. Livonia, MI. I like this arepa and flatbread cooking plate. It is the perfect size for a medium tortilla. It won’t work on an electric or glass top stove. You either need a gas stove or a grill. I made a couple tortillas on it and plan to make a couple arepas. It’s a pretty good product.. Ryan. Atlanta, GA. Wed Aug 05 2026
