This is a nice knife set. The shipping however was horrible. The package arrived weeks late, torn and retaped. The knives had what seemed like water stains on them that I scrubbed off. These knives are made with quality and have held up well considering some of the reviews I read through. A few of the reviews stated there was rusting on the knives and they weren’t dishwasher safe after all. I can confirm personally that it’s dishwasher safe and there’s zero rusting. Overall quality exceed the cheaper price the knives are selling for. I have zero regrets buying these knives and will buy again when the time comes.. Carll. Montgomery, TX. Tue Sep 15 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving this knife set so far. It comes with so many knives, and they all work really well! My favorite part about this is the color, as it matches my aesthetic perfectly. Also a pro that there are scissors and a bread knife included! The only thing I don’t love about this is that it tilts at more of an angle than I’d like, so it takes up more counter space than I prefer.. Emmah. Wed Aug 12 2026

The steel is Japanese aus10 a highly refined, high carbon, vanadium stainless steel that takes a razor sharp edge and holds it longer. Kanso's heritage finish hides scratches and gives kanso a rustic look that just improves with age. The handle is made of a wood called tagayasan or wenge, which is sometimes known in Japan as “iron sword wood.” the handle contouring enables an easy chef's grip. Full tang construction provides strength, balance and easy cutting control. Like all Shun knives, kanso is sharpened to a 16° cutting angle each side to cut cleanly and help preserve food’s freshness and best taste.

I passed on buying the butcher knife because it’s only 8 inch. This kit came up on sale, I bought it for myself as a Christmas present. We had prime rib for Christmas. I cut the red roast with the knife, it was superb. So I bought a whole boneless pork loin and cut into chops. It failed at this task. It's not really a butcher knife, it’s to short and the shape docent help. It’s great foe cooked ribs.. Chester F.. Wed Jan 07 2026
