For those who like cooking with cast iron but love the versatility of a clad stainless steel pan, the Viking Blue Carbon Steel 10-Inch Fry Pan is the perfect pan. Featuring a 10’’ size for added versatility, this pan is made of carbon steel, an alloy that is a combination of iron and carbon. The “Blue” in “Blue carbon steel” references a heat treatment process to help resist rust and corrosion, a nuisance that can plague traditional cast iron pans. Stay-cool cast iron handles securely attach to the pans with heavy duty rivets for confidence in construction and a lifetime of use. Though cast iron also excels as maintaining even heating, it can take time to rise to temperature and since iron itself is so brittle, more of the material must be used to make it durable, making traditional cast iron pans larger and heavier. With blue carbon steel, you’ll have a pan that is noticeably lighter without sacrificing performance. And like cast iron, blue carbon steel also heats quickly and evenly, reducing the risk of hot spots from occurring. Blue carbon steel is also prized for achieving high temperatures quickly without fear of damage occurring to the pan itself. Viking Blue Steel is oven safe to 450°F for restaurant quality finishing in the oven. Like cast iron, your blue carbon steel pan will need to be seasoned regularly to maintain its nonstick properties. “Seasoning” refers to the process of coating the base of the pan with a thin layer of oil that imparts a flavorful taste to your foods while also protecting foods from sticking. There are plenty of methods to seasoning your pan, but if this is your first time seasoning the pan, we recommend using very hot water and dish soap to first scrub the pan, then wipe dry and place it on the burner at low heat to finish drying. Add some oil to the pan and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Then, let the pan cool and wipe with paper towels and your pan is ready for use! For future maintenance, simply rinse the pan with water after use and scrub gently with a soft-bristled brush or sponge if necessary (No need for soap!). Season with vegetable oil periodically to maintain its smooth cooking surface and nonstick properties. It is not recommended to put these pans into the dishwasher as it will remove the seasoning, reduction the natural nonstick and making the pan more susceptible to rust. Should you find rust on the pan, like natural cast iron, this can be normal. Just clean the rust off with a scrubby sponge and season the area with vegetable oil. - Includes 10-inch Fry Pan - Pre-seasoned carbon steel construction for healthy, lightweight and long-lasting cookware - Features a matte finish and cut rims - Stainless Steel Handles - Safe up to 600°F/315°C - Compatible with all Cooking Surfaces; Electric, Gas, Grill, Induction, & Oven Friendly - Hand wash Only - Limited Lifetime Warranty - Blue carbon steel is lighter and more maneuverable than cast iron, making it easier for those who struggle with the weight of cast iron - The special alloy that makes up blue carbon steel is designed to resist rust and corrosion more effectively than cast iron, reducing the amount of time and energy spent on care and maintenance - Carbon steel cookware is touted by many as the perfect blend between clad cookware and cast iron, delivering the superior heat transfer of cast iron for searing and the even distribution of clad 3-ply cookware -Naturally nonstick due to the vegetable oil seasoning - As a thinner alloy, blue carbon steel heats more quickly than cast iron while still maintaining its even and consistent heat distribution - Blue carbon steel is able to withstand high temperatures without damaging the pan, making it perfect for finishing steaks with a quick sear or sautéing a quick stir fry This product contains: Iron, Chromium, Nickel, and Manganese For more information about chemicals in this product, visit www.vikingculinaryproducts.com/pages/disclosures.html Para obtener más información sobre los productos químicos de este producto, visite www.vikingculinaryproducts.com/pages/disclosures.html

I appreciate the "hollow" handle so this pan isn't as heavy as some others I have. The Champagne color with the shiny gold handle is a very updated look. It looks very pretty in my newly remodeled kitchen. Farberware is a brand I trust.. Dana. Palm Desert. Tue Dec 23 2025

Safe from metal utensils, Viking Hybrid Plus Tri-Ply Nonstick Ceramic Fry Pans are made without PFAS for healthy, non-toxic cooking. These pans are a mix of a traditional stainless-steel fry pan and a nonstick fry pan, making them ideal for searing, sautéing, and browning while still delivering easy cleanup. Viking Hybrid Plus cookware is coated with an advanced double-layer ceramic nonstick coating that features superior release while being made without PFAS. The innovative design of the cooking surface features a raised diamond tread pattern that sits just above the nonstick coating. The raised stainless-steel pattern protects the nonstick coating from scratching, making this pan ideal for use with metal utensils. You never need to worry about what utensil you or anyone in your house uses – the scratch-resistant nonstick is protected. The 3-ply clad construction delivers professional quality heat transfer. Both made of stainless steel, the exterior steel layer is induction-capable while the interior steel layer is 304 non-reactive surgical grade stainless. Sandwiched between these layers is a layer of aluminum that helps to conduct the heat evenly through both the bottom and walls of the pan. Together, the three layers make this pan more efficient when cooking. The Viking 3-Ply Hybrid plus line is oven safe to 500°F. The fry pan is finished with rolled rims for drip-free pouring. The signature Viking ergonomic handles are riveted in place and fully cast stainless for a lifetime of use. Each handle is equipped with a heat break to help them stay-cool during use and a finger guide for easy lifting and control. For best results, use a little oil or butter when cooking eggs or other liquid based foods. Be sure to use lower heat and allow the food to cook into a solid form before turning it with a spatula and you will have better results. It is best to cook on low to medium heat for best the best release. Never use aerosol nonstick sprays with these pans as it will reduce the life of the nonstick. The Hybrid Plus pans are dishwasher safe, but we highly recommend hand washing to extend the life of the nonstick performance of the cookware.

Unfortunately, these are not quite what they are advertised to be. I use a small amount of oil as this is what is recommended to prevent food from sticking. You can clearly see from the picture below that even after about two dozen uses it is incredibly difficult to clean up the residue. I don’t feel that these are true nonstick and would recommend to go with other brands, such as All-Clad for a better product.. Irvberto. USA. Mon Feb 09 2026

For those who like cooking with cast iron but love the versatility of a clad stainless steel pan, the Viking Blue Carbon Steel 12-Inch Wok is the perfect pan. Featuring a 12’’ size for added versatility, this wok is made of carbon steel, an alloy that is a combination of iron and carbon. - Includes 10-inch & 12-inch Fry Pan Set - Pre-seasoned carbon steel construction for healthy, lightweight and long-lasting cookware - Features a matte finish and cut rims - Stainless Steel Handles - Safe up to 600°F/315°C - Compatible with all Cooking Surfaces; Electric, Gas, Grill, Induction, & Oven Friendly - Hand wash Only - Limited Lifetime Warranty - Blue carbon steel is lighter and more maneuverable than cast iron, making it easier for those who struggle with the weight of cast iron - The special alloy that makes up blue carbon steel is designed to resist rust and corrosion more effectively than cast iron, reducing the amount of time and energy spent on care and maintenance - Carbon steel cookware is touted by many as the perfect blend between clad cookware and cast iron, delivering the superior heat transfer of cast iron for searing and the even distribution of clad 3-ply cookware - Naturally nonstick due to the vegetable oil seasoning - As a thinner alloy, blue carbon steel heats more quickly than cast iron while still maintaining its even and consistent heat distribution - Blue carbon steel is able to withstand high temperatures without damaging the pan, making it perfect for finishing steaks with a quick sear or sautéing a quick stir fry This product contains: Iron, Chromium, Nickel, and Manganese For more information about chemicals in this product, visit www.vikingculinaryproducts.com/pages/disclosures.html Para obtener más información sobre los productos químicos de este producto, visite www.vikingculinaryproducts.com/pages/disclosures.html

I love these pans! I bought them during a sale for a little over $100 and I must note they are incredibly well made, I cook over a gas stove and love the length of the secure handles!
