Wood Dog Houses

Dog Houses

Wayfair has a wide selection of wood dog houses in a variety of shapes, sizes, and styles. Any dog that spends time outdoors needs protection from the elements, so why not give Fido a nice place to hang out? Regardless of the breed, all dogs are sensitive to extreme cold, heat, and rain, and a dog house provides the shelter they need. The dog houses here at Wayfair are carefully crafted and constructed with the pet's safety and comfort in mind While searching for wood dog houses, you may have some questions, such as:

What size of wood dog houses should I consider? The dog house you choose should be big enough for the dog to fit in comfortably, turn around, and lie down. While it is okay for a small dog to have a big dog house, the reverse is not true. When selecting a dog house for a puppy, make sure it'll be big enough for the animal when it's full grown.

What features should I look for while shopping for wood dog houses? While a dog's main concern is comfort, you may want to find one that goes with the style of the exterior of your house. Look for one that is raised off the ground, has an opening big enough for the dog to comfortably fit through, and is tall enough for the pooch to stand. If you live in a colder climate, make sure it's well insulated.

What features can wood dog houses have to make the dog more comfortable? There are many different features to add comfort to a dog house, including good insulation, cross ventilation, weather resistance, and of course a soft blanket that you'll provide later. A shaded porch is another great feature, so the dog can watch the birds in comfort.

Dogs are denning animals, and they naturally enjoy being in their own enclosed space. Wayfair offers a wide range of styles and sizes of wood dog houses for the most discriminating pet owner, so it's easy to treat man's best friend to what comes naturally. From the barn-style structure to the more elaborate dog houses with porches, food stations, and intricately carved woodwork, there is something for almost any canine that loves to be outdoors. Keep the family dog safe and dry with one of the many different dog houses offered here at Wayfair.
