My dog is older with really bad joints. She is able to get up and down these stairs pretty easily. The only thing I don’t love about them is that the middle step where it folds up is a little flat so it can make them A little uneasy. However, I love how folds away when you don’t need them so it doesn’t take up too much space. Almost looks like a side table when folded up. Overall, nice stairs for my pup!. Andrea. Sumter, SC. I bought these stairs for my 20 lb cat who has arthritis and has pain jumping down from the bed. I originally looked at stairs made specifically for cats, but they didn’t seem sturdy enough to support him. These stairs are sturdy, well made, and have held up great. It’s very well made with a very nice fabric. All I had to do was attach the legs, but I didn’t read the description properly because I thought it was 17 inches when it’s fully extended as a ramp but it’s 12 inches high when the ramp is extended and 17 inches when it’s in the ottoman position therefore I won’t be able to use it as a dog ramp but as an ottoman with the weight capacity it’s very nice..
