I live alone so assembly was a bit difficult but I managed by myself (6'4" dude), but for most buyers I'd imagine it would take two people to handle it. During assembly very important to leave bolts at joints loose so that they can be wiggled into tight fighting place at final stages. Prior to laying down the mattress on top, the smaller composite wood legs in the middle of the frame did not touch flush with the ground. However, with laying down the mattress and lying on it they support the weight and the frame feels sturdy/doesn't wobble. First time online bed buyer and super happy with my purchase! In the midst of a bedroom remodel. Got king size in natural, arrived next day, no damage, had all parts, didn't take too long for two people to put together - appx 30 min; however, I think the spacers weren't the correct size because we ended up with two slats that weren't accounted for at the end, but we just respaced slightly and it was fine. I really appreciated the velcro for the slats so they don't move around when spacing - someone thought that through! You will also need a drill to screw in the slats. Headboard and footboard are not completely solid, but sturdy and the height is good for us. Also, purchased the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate Mattress and it fit perfectly. It is a very pretty and sturdy bedframe. I took a star off because they were not pre-drilled holes for some screws and that was unclear in the directions. It took me one hour and and and 45 minutes to put it together as one person. Also two of the side pieces were the same so I had to unscrew the brackets and switch them so they would become opposite side frames. Sturdy bedframe that arrives in a heavy box that was relatively easy to put together. With 2 people and a drill it went by in about an hour. This bed frame is great and looks to be made of nice material. The directions completely miss a few steps (putting the actual headboard piece onto the support posts), so I ended up having to undo some parts and redo them. I still couldn't get the headboard fabric piece to align exactly with the side posts. Assembly took around an hour. Also, the wrench that is provided is too big for the space the bolts are supposed to go, so it was very difficult to tighten everything properly. The bed does look exactly like the photos and the materials seem durable. I don't love that the support pieces underneath the bed are unfinished cheap wood, but that's pretty common.
