It took close to five hours to put together... but I thoroughly read the directions before starting, then didn't rush. Took about four times stopping and starting... First run was 2.5 hours, then shorter spurts with a 10 y/o "helping". It was not difficult to put together; the directions were actually very good. We have two pieces with cracks, but they seemed superficial and surface-level. One edge on the back was not trimmed to slide the backing in - had to take a knife to the plastic trim blocking the groove. The lights around the mirror have three color tones, plus you can adjust brightness. My daughter also loves the LED strip inside the glass top. I really like this vanity. I hired a contractor to assemble it and it took him about 3 hours; there were a lot of parts. Since this was to be delivered I was a little hesitant to pay that much for the vanity, in case it wasn't worth it. Well, I'm SOOO glad I got it! I absolutely love it! It came in 4 boxes and was mostly put together (bonus!) and is very solid. It was so easy to do. Just put the legs on the drawer unit and the table. The shelves need to be attached to the mirror section but that was easy. The hardest part was putting the mirror on the desk, but even that wasn't too bad. All the screw holes lined up perfectly and there weren't any scratches or dents. Someone down graded this because the drawer unit is separate from the desk, but that was what I wanted so it would fit in my little nook. Came in one big box that felt like 500 pounds. It was obviously pushed and shoved around a lot by the carrier because it’s impossible to move. It took 3 people to carry up the stairs to get it inside. Then when I opened it, wood was split, the fronting was crushed, and an entire drawer had split away and the track came loose from the main tabletop. The material feels oddly rough and unfinished, like it was not sealed.
