It took close to five hours to put together... but I thoroughly read the directions before starting, then didn't rush. Took about four times stopping and starting... First run was 2.5 hours, then shorter spurts with a 10 y/o "helping". It was not difficult to put together; the directions were actually very good. We have two pieces with cracks, but they seemed superficial and surface-level. One edge on the back was not trimmed to slide the backing in - had to take a knife to the plastic trim blocking the groove. The lights around the mirror have three color tones, plus you can adjust brightness. My daughter also loves the LED strip inside the glass top. This is one of the best makeup tables I have gotten. It is very slim design, so it does not take a lot of space. But it has extensive storage. The inside of the top drawers have individual compartments. All of that hold cosmetics or whatever you needed to hold. The mayor does light up. It has different modes as well. Item arrived timely, packed well, and without damage. Assembly, however, was another story. The instructions are absolutely horrible and utterly useless. My husband happens to be very good with diy and assembly so he was able to put it together using the photo of what it looks like completed. So I removed a star for the poor instructions. Anyone purchasing should be aware that you’ll need to be confident in your assembly abilities or know someone who is. Other than that, I absolutely love it! It’s just the right size for my space and provides ample storage. The lights are a nice extra! The ten side drawers are narrow but deep, and they glide very smoothly. The center drawer has the glass top, making your items in there visible. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll be using that drawer for jewelry or cosmetics. The only thing it was missing was a power outlet for hair tools, etc. I simply purchased an attractive surge protector that I could leave accessible and while it does take up some of the vanity top space, you could easily get one that attaches to the side of the vanity and it would still be accessible. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the ‘crystal’ knobs and I’m still not sure and I planned to change them originally, but I may stay with them. High points: comes with padded stool, has glass countertop, many compartments, sliding vanity mirror that has three light hues and can dim or brighten, mirror moves. Low points: shallow in depth making for shallow drawers, the two small countertop drawers are not on slides or rails so they can scratch the top pulling out over time, sharp corners on the furniture.
