This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. Also, after assembly, the boxes weren’t disposed of; I was advised that I was responsible for hauling the boxes away. I’m handicapped and this was very difficult. I love how beautiful this couch is! It looks perfect in my Harry Potter library (Slytheryn green) and it’s comfortable! It was easy to assemble alone (I’m a woman) and the instructions were easy to follow. I feel this couch is worth the price I paid, my only complaint is how low to the ground it is but that I can fix all on my own.
