This is perfect for my needs, I just wanted something that looked nice but also was functional. The color is a very nice gray and it fits the small space I had. It is hard but not that uncomfortable. Good for the price, cushions could be more cushiony but thats an endless scale so no complaints. Assembled relatively quickly and the ideal fold out mechanism where the weight bearing is in no question, cant snap up and convert you into a pancake like a bad spring loaded mechanism or murphy bed. Only think I would say is unless you have already bought million dollar molds make the bed part at least 5'10', because in the west a 5'6" will just not be sufficient, because more often than not your friend or person sleeping over is definitely above that height. Would cost your probably maybe 10-20 extra dollars on the manufacturing and next to nothing on material, would sell it probably significantly more because once you cross that threshold of 5'8" it goes from small sofa kind of a bed to small sofa but a full almost Full size bed.. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. This is a small sofa (no legs) but perfect for what I needed it for...I have it in our basement family room against a wall and have the pillows on top of the back of the couch for support. This will be very handy when we have lots of family over at Christmas. The 2 lower cushions are separate, but a twin sheet fits around it so it would be easy to sleep on without the cushions separating. It would be handy if the 2 top cushions had clips that would keep the 2 cushions together in case someone would want to sleep on that part. Super easy to "put together"... just open the box, cut the plastic and the sofa puts itself together! The cushions are nice and firm. Easy to move around because there are 4 separate pieces!. I purchased this sofa because my disabled mother will be visiting and cannot climb stairs. Unfortunately, despite being advertised as a sofa bed, it does not convert into a bed, which was disappointing and the main reason for my purchase. That said, I do like the sofa itself. Assembly was straightforward, it feels sturdy, and the corduroy fabric is soft and attractive. I also appreciate that the cushion covers unzip for easy washing. I did try sleeping on it, but the armrests are very hard, making it less comfortable for overnight use. Because it doesn't function as a sofa bed as described and isn't ideal for sleeping, I'm giving it 4 stars.
