When building in a Sharp countertop microwave oven, be sure to use the proper Sharp trim kit. All Sharp kits are UL approved and provide ductwork to assure proper air circulation around the product. The Sharp RK-94S30F 30-inch flush mount built-in trim kit is compatible with the Sharp SMC1585BS microwave oven. It will provide ventilation as required and delivers a clean look that integrates the microwave into the wall or cabinet.

It's good to see that Sharp is still the king of microwaves. Compared to a dedicated microwave and a separate extra wall oven, this combo unit it far cheaper and space-conscious. It preheats in just a couple of minutes, and the inside wipes clean nicely. I expected the ceramic plate to stain by now but somehow it still comes out of the dishwasher bright white. Overall this is a good microwave and heats up food quickly. I like the flat clean look of the front door without the handle like the other models. This also makes it easy to clean. The controls however could use some improvement. Especially adding one touch start. It currently has a 30 second quick start button but to run it for a minute or two, you have to either enter the numbers and press start or press the 30 second button multiple times. The other auto features could also use better guided display as we have to constantly look up which setting to use. A WiFi connection to set it up would have been a nice feature.
