Item was a lot heavier item , so the shipping date was adjusted but about 3 weeks or so. This was not an issue, and when i called to update, seemed reasonable for to size and weight..When it was actually shipped, was very quick (about a week) from a far distance. The local delivery company was prompt, called and delivered to spot as requested... So once it actually left the shipping depot, was quick and accurate... Just took quite a bit longer than estimated. A great value for your money. This tent comes Vevor branded, and is listed at a much better price than the same tent is from Vevor directly. The mattress inside is super comfy, and the tent material is very durable. I haven’t used the LED strip yet, we will see how it works. The LED strip runs down the top left part of the tent, which I could see being quite bright for the person who would be facing it. The main issue with this tent is ventilation. It would have been awesome to get a small zipper above the main door to allow more airflow and to let heat escape as heat rises. Mounting the tent was fairly simple. I took the ladder and hardware out of the tent, and then it took my roommate and I to get it up on my bed rack and bolted in place. I didn’t need the plates as the T slots matched up to my bed rack. I would say total install took an hour and a half. Only about 20-30 minutes of that needs the second person. I drive a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. So far the tent has been up there for a month and my gas mileage has not changed at all. Time will tell if that holds with longer distance trips (most I have traveled is 120km in each direction). I don’t feel much drag (with the cross bars installed as well), nor do I hear whistling or any noise. The Livestock Portable shelter was very easy to put together and provides very good coverage for any livestock. We have horses and I find this shelter perfect for them. I’m very jazzed with this ‘tent’ for my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. First time set up was about 10 min which I’m sure will be less next time. We used this tent for winter camping in March with a mix of light snow and rain, and overall it performed really well. The 300D Oxford material felt durable.We set it up with a wood-burning stove using the stove jack, and it worked great. I was initially concerned about how close the stove would be to the walls, but the spacing was actually very comfortable and safe.Inside, we were able to fit two twin air mattresses with a storage table in between, which worked perfectly as a side table. With the stove inside, I would say it realistically fits 2 people comfortably (or 1 queen/king mattress). Without the stove, you could likely fit an additional mattress.The awning is a standout feature — having a covered cooking area right outside the tent made a big difference, especially in wet conditions. Definitely worth getting the version with the awning.The only downside is that this “8-person” size does not have the top ventilation that the larger models (10- and 12-person) include. Because of that, we experienced noticeable condensation buildup along the walls. If your bedding touches the sides, it can get damp, so I recommend keeping mattresses slightly away from the walls and bringing a towel to wipe down moisture.One additional tip: if you’re using a wood stove, make sure your chimney pipe extends well above the tent height (ideally 9–10 ft). Mine was a bit shorter, and a few embers caused small, patchable holes in the roof.Overall, I’m very happy with this tent — it’s durable, functional, and worked great for cold-weather camping.
