I was a little skeptical because this Kitchen Island was fairly inexpensive. I opted to pay to have it assembled and that was done today. I love it. It has as much space as i hoped since it was only 43" long and the cabinets and drawers are ample size to hold a lot of kitchen items. This is so much more useful than the table and chairs for two that I had there before. The Island is sturdy, attractive and versatile. The stools are very comfortable. My only complaint is that before ordering I called Wayfair customer service to find out if I could purchase the item but delay delivery. The person i spoke to assured me that as soon as I had a tracking number I could contact Fed Ex and reschedule. I got the tracking number too late to stop the delivery which came in two days instead of three as noted on the order. Most people would not complain about this but I had a flight the day of delivery; luckily it arrived before I had to leave for the airport. Bought this for my mom’s new place. I’ve been putting a lot of furniture together recently and this was actually not that hard to put together. I will say- you have to pay attention to every picture because I definitely ended up putting 2 parts together wrong and then needed to back track slightly. It still only took 2.5hrs for me to put together and i only needed mild help with lining up the screws and holes since lifting a part of the island and lining them up was difficult. If you are someone who hates allen wrenches i have great news - this is put together almost 100% with just plain old screws and a screwdriver. The last part does use an allen wrench but only for 8 screws and it is done. All the parts are labeled and for the most part packaged in order of the parts you need. 8/10, an absolute WIN! One piece of the table has a dent in it due to shipping and handling. I put a vase on top of it to hide it. Wayfair gave a me a small % of a refund due to the dent. I paid for the professional assembly Wayfair offers, and it took him 3.5 hours to assemble. TONS of pieces, and the instruction manual is crucial! It has plenty of space, is aesthetically pleasing, and gives my kitchen the luxury upgrade I desire. It has two drawers that don’t have the lock when you extend it, so I have to be careful when opening it. I even added books where some would put spices, so I am loving the dual purpose.
