The frame seems pretty lightweight, but the person putting it together said it's sturdy. I ordered this for a guest bedroom, so it won't be getting daily use. I like the roominess under the bed allowed by the height of the bed frame, which makes it good for storage if you're inclined. The 14" tall frame gives about 12" of space under it. Once ordered, this bed frame with headboard arrived within a few days securely packaged all in one box!! I'm stressing one box because there was an incident with this delivery where the FedEx driver originally showed two snapshots on my account ...one was the correct box which was left at my door and the other box left at the door of a different apt in the same building! When I went outside to get the boxes, the one left at the wrong door wasn't there?!! I naturally assumed that someone must have taken it and immediately reported it to Fedex. I then called Wayfair and the lady I spoke to explained she was seeing both snapshots too! While waiting on Fedex response, I called Wayfair again to get an update! I got a different person who explained there should only have been one box and she only was seeing one snapshot!? She had me open the box to make sure everything was there. Of course everything was was right there all in one box! I then called Fedex back to explain all of this again and to let them know everything was okay! It was obviously a fluke with the Fedex driver but Fedex never admitted to or explained what really happened with the second snapshot. At any rate, I was happy to know that I had received everything in the one box. The bed frame with the headboard is really nice! It took awhile to assemble, but, I'm sure most anyone else, especially a man, could put it together in no time! It is made of a very heavy metal ...great quality and durable enough to last for many years! It is cost effective since it only requires a mattress ...no box springs required! Price & quality as expected. Found the style I wanted at a reasonable price. I needed a bed without footboard for a growing grandson! I liked the fast and free shipping. Several pages of assembly instructions were listed online which I printed out. All instruction sheets were also included but one -which I had already printed. Assembly was quite involved, but grateful my son gave 2 hours of his day off to help me out. The only thing I’m not pleased with are the center supports attached to the slats, which show underneath when looking from the side, unless you have a long bedspread.
