Practical but Not Very Comfortable This foldable bed is very practical and convenient, especially when you need an extra sleeping space or a temporary bed. It is easy to fold and store. However, it is not very comfortable for extended use because, after a while, you can feel the metal frame through the mattress. It works well for occasional use, but I wouldn’t recommend it for long periods of sleeping.. Betty. Sat Oct 10 2026

It comes all in one box mattress and bed frame so it's heavy. Everything was tied in really good with zip ties which took forever to take out of the box because you have to cut each individual zip tie. Of course the mattress was an easy setup it comes compressed so just open and let it expand for a few of hours. However, the bed frame is a nightmare! The most difficult to assembly. It literally took me 3 hours and the instruction manual was horrible. The pictures are not clear enough to understand so you have to kind of guess where things go. it just took forever! In any case, once everything was assembled it was exactly what I hoped for, and it was actually comfortable if you prefer a firm mattress. Definitely a space saver, it easily stored away in my closet. Other than the tedious, and difficult setup, I'm actually happy with the bed overall. however, I never want to have to set up a bed frame like this again.. Elizabeth. Amarillo, TX. Sun Aug 16 2026

I was looking for an extra bed without the commitment of a full-time bedroom, and this Murphy bed fit the bill. It took about 2.5 hours to put together by myself. I referenced the assembly youtube to help get the actual visual process along the way. There were reviews about the mattress not being super comfortable (I would agree- functional, not what I would offer to a guest), so I purchased a memory topper for when it's being used. It is easy to transform to a bed. I did also make sure I had a rug to put under it, as someone commented that the one frame piece is not connected to the rest of the frame when in bed form and might move around. It is a quality piece of furniture, looks lovely in both forms, and has made my bonus room an extra space for guests.. Sarah. Forks, WA. Sat Nov 12 2022

Overall a beautiful and functional Murphy bed. Came well packaged in 2, heavy, boxes. As other reviews have stated, it takes a considerable amount of time to assemble, it took me a little over 3 hours. There were a couple steps that were a bit confusing and I had to go back and switch things around but for the most part, pretty good instructions overall. My only complaint is the bolts for the handles and knobs were just barely long enough, the first one I accidentally over tightened and it broke. Exercise extreme caution with the knobshandles. But, I am very pleased overall and would totally buy it again!. Valerie. Cincinnati, Ohio. Fri Jan 09 2026
