This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan. This wasn’t an issue since I use a wall switch to control the fan, but it’s something to keep in mind if you depend on the chain for fan operation.. Anonymous. Wed Apr 01 2026

We have a ceiling light in a hallway that does not have a wall switch so the ceiling fixture requires a pull chain. This is an excellent low profile option on its own (no ceiling fan). About a month ago I broke my glass shade for my ceiling fan. I had the model number and UPC Number. I spent the last month calling manufacturers and on-line sites trying to get the correct replacement shade. No success. I finally called Wayfair (Should have been my first call). The representative was very helpful and knowledgeable. The representative spent at least 10 minutes verifying I was ordering the correct item. The representative even sent me a photo of the light kit to ensure that this was the kit that I had. I ordered the part at a great savings compared to other sites. This is AMAZING! So I did a bunch of investigating online and was made to believe that finding a light kit to fit my Casablanca ceiling fan would be a challenge. I even contacted a lighting store and had them contact the manufacturer to find out which kits would fit with my ceiling fan. They came back with only like 5 options, all ugly and kind of old lady ornate. I ended up reluctantly picking the least unattractive for over 100 bucks. In the meantime while I was waiting for all this communication, I decided to buy this kit just kind of on a whim and hope.
