It was a bit lower than I expected. But it's great product for it's price. The back braces wouldn't hold when the bench is in open position for lying down. Simply, beautiful swing! Takes a lot to get it together! There are a lot of parts and pieces, different screws, nuts bolts! Fairly well-made, with the exception of the nuts which kept breaking, and the wood is so soft it was splitting. Not sure how long it will last, doesn’t seem like real sturdy, treated wood!
