This thing is fancy! It even has a remote control! I love that you can change the fan speeds and the light intensity with a simple touch. It took a bit to install it and I had to get a reducer for the duct because previously we had 7" and this was 6". It is very quiet and you can have a conversation with it on, which was next to impossible with my old vent hood. I really like this. Be prepared to have a way to support it as you are screwing it into the wall. It is heavy. I used 2x 4's on either side to hold it up as I screwed it to the wall and cabinet.. Lora. US. Hood fan review Installation was easy but you need small hands to screw in the hood around the fan. The noise of the fan is not as quiet as I thought it was going to be but it will be fine. So perfect! We ordered this to replace a bulky microwave that was over the range. This was the perfect fit! My grandpa is handy and was able to cut an old extension cord to connect the wires from the hood vent and make it able to plug in for power. Otherwise this would have needed an electrician or someone savvy like him to get the light and fan working. It’s not an easy plug and play for power.
