Only used one time so far I think overall it will be great you must hold the the pilot light down for 5 or 6 minutes, at least to get it to light up. For me, the installation was a lot harder than I thought it would be. The unit I have is propane. Time will tell, but overall, I think its going to be great for heating up my small cabin. Expensive but I got exactly what I was hoping for -- a relatively quiet unit that quickly heats the room. I purchased the satin nickel unit and configured it to run on the 240 volt/1750 watt setting, it works perfectly. It's used to supplement our main furnace to heat the entertainment room in our basement. The room is approximately 300 sq ft and with its two-stage heating it brings the temps up nicely in short order. This was a great addition to my sunroom to replace my older 10K btu model that couldn’t keep up with the extreme colder temps (20°Fs and below). This space is not heated so my Mr. Heater acts as the primary source. I only have to turn the setting to 3 to heat the room and then down to 2. The thermostat does a good job shutting the unit on and off as needed.
