Gel Memory Foam Cooling Medium Hybrid Pillow Top Mattress In a Box with CertiPUR-US OEKO-TEX Certified

This is a great mattress! It came rolled up quite compactly and it filled up to its full size quickly. It is a bit firm for me, but I am using a mattress topper to make it a bit softer. I was disappointed with the tool that they sent to open the plastic wrap. It is supposed to prevent puncturing the mattress but it still made a hole! Our new Avenco gel memory foam mattress is very good for our 9 year old son’s bed. We ordered a queen to replace his older one, which was way too firm. This new one is just firm enough, but you still sink into the foam a bit. When I lay down on it, I wake up much less sore, because the other one actually hurt my back. Ok, the biggest issue right now is the smell. We are still trying to get that to go away. The directions said to strip the bedding during the day and put a fan in the direction of the bed with a window open. It’s only been four days since we opened it up, so we are crossing our fingers that the smell subsides. Thus, the reason for the 4 stars. For comfort, it definitely deserves 5 stars.. Maureen.
