We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. This is a basic cube shelf. It’s attractive and assembly was straightforward. I wanted something that would tuck into the closet space in my hobby room. The finish has a wood-grain look - it’s not a smooth finish so just be aware. One star off because a couple of the cam locks wouldn’t tighten properly and keep falling out. It’s like the cam dowels aren’t long enough for the bolt to “grab” it. Amazing quality, sturdy, exactly like pictures matches the description. HOWEVER.. DO NOT plan on starting this on a day when you are already stressed out, tired, its late at night, or you are short on time. I was in tears at one point and it took me a total of 8 hours to build..the instructions made the entire thing like a puzzle. None of the parts are labeled in the boxes there are no paper instructions . I used the assembly instructions from the order on the wayfair app. They really could use better instructions but after the mental torture of building it, i am so happy i didnt give up I’m happy with my purchase!!.
