Claw Foot Book Case

This bookcase is really lovely. I had been looking for an antique bookshelf and just was not finding anything that was in good condition and in my price range. I started looking elsewhere and when I saw this, I loved it. Sent a link to my husband, and he liked it too. Reading the reviews, a few people mentioned that the finish was not totally smooth on the shelves - that has actually played in my favor. I don't have to use bookends for the books I have put on it, so that's a big plus in my opinion. The color is lovely, and it goes well with the furniture in our space. I am very happy with the look and quality at this price point. I was struggling to find something to for my narrow space in this room. They do feel more expensive than the other similar items in this price range. A few things to note, I don’t love the slight seam to the backing but it’s is hardly noticeable when decorated. Another thing to note is there are stickers to cover the screws etc. not my favorite but at this price point it’s not bad, and at least you don’t look at the screws like some other affordable pieces. An excellent quality Mahogany Open Bookcase produced by Niagara Furniture. The top section features a moulded cornice with hand cut satinwood inlays arranged in a drape pattern. This is a nice, spacious bookcase. I do not give 5* because it came damaged. I ordered 2 bookcases and both came with a damaged side panel. Also I was not impressed how it looks in general. Coating looks cheap. Probably I would not buy it if I saw this bookcase in store. But it is too much work to return them and expensive too.
