This bed is very well built and made from solid wood. It feels sturdy, durable, and secure, which is exactly what I was looking for. The quality is evident in the construction, and I would definitely purchase this bed again. The only change I would make, if it were available as an option, would be a taller headboard. An additional 6 to 10 inches in height would make it even more attractive and provide better support when sitting up in bed. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. There are a TON of beds similar to this for much cheaper, but it was nearly half off and several hundred more normally so I went for it. It is someone different than the many industrial look beds out . The mattress shown is 14” thick and not yet expanded. I think there might be a tolerable 1” gap if you got a 12” mattress. It’s really beautiful, all wood, and what one hopes for when getting the cheaper ones, which are fine for dorms. But this thing is really solid and unbelievably heavy. This queen platform bed frame is okay for the money spent. The color was exactly as pictured, which I appreciated. It’s not solid wood. It’s MDF with a wood laminate overlay and it definitely doesn’t have a high-end look. There are a lot of pieces to assemble, and not all of them aligned perfectly.
