We are pretty happy with the platform bed. Very protected in the box. The instructions were only pics, which was easy to understand. We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It’s made from solid wood, feels sturdy and well-made. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. Unfortunately the led light strip provided didn't work, but its ok since our son didnt need it. I like putting his favorite books and toys on the shelves, and I can plug in one of his night lights into the port which makes up for the light bar not working.
