Inspired by the designer’s wife, an avid collector of decorative pieces of all shapes and sizes, the problem was simple: traditional fixed-shelf bookcases often couldn’t fit her newly purchased décor. Its shelves can be adjusted freely to accommodate items of different sizes, and the overall width can also be modified to adapt to various room layouts. Reversible cubbies and multi-scenario flexibility make this unit both practical and stylish for living rooms, offices, or entryways. Low Quality Fiberboard.... The shelves are .5 inches thick- feels very flimsy and the sides with the design that I thought would look unique and cool .... no.... they are pure fiberboard. their photo clearly says that the shelves are 1.57 thick- ill upload the photo from their advertisement This is a cheaply made item, save your money & buy something from a store you can actually see- or ask a friend to make them and they will be more unique! Wayfair will only direct you to their "manufacturer" - which doesn't really mean much these days- its just a way to hand of responsibility? ya dig?. Pepper. Chimacum, WA. Fri Mar 06 2026

This is a great sturdy and handsome piece of furniture. Made of beautiful hard wood and metal frame. The finish is a little darker than I thought it would be, but still a perfect match for my bedroom, where I use it for my computer, printer and other items. There are adjustable feet at the bottom of the four legs, in case your floor is uneven, etc. This is a really nice piece. Unlike some other folks here who left reviews, mine does not have any strange or strong scent. It smells completely fine and normal. Everything came well packaged, with just the right amount of packing materials. There was a slight (very small) chip on the very bottom of the shelf I used on the bottom. Not from shipping, likely a small defect in manufacturing. They offered me a 15% discount and I accepted. I turned that shelf to face the back and I am satisfied. Follow the simple set-up instructions and you will be all set!. Greg. Dennis Port, MA. Sun Aug 23 2026

This Jocqua 70" H x 47.24" W Etagere Bookcase is not just a "display" shelf. You can use it for actual storage in any place in your room, improving your organization and showcasing your favorite books/trinkets and other decorative accents for your space, a convenient solution to the problem of stacking.

I like the design. For anyone that has books or dvd's it maybe hard for them to prop up alone without support. Only issues is the packers at the warehouse or manufacture packed it with scuffs in the black paint on multiple parts. I tried to hide them toward the back side. I would send it back for a replacement but Wayfair charges for shipping it back to the price of the item. The carriers beat up the package during transit for sure. This will most likely be my last order from Wayfair due to shopping online isn't as expected when you get it in person.. Anonymous. Sun Jul 12 2026
