This is a very nice and economical headboard. I really liked the color and style, so I kept it and made adjustments, even though it didnt fit my king size adjustable Sleep Number bed. I ended up simply placing the headboard behind the bed. Because my Sleep Number mattress sits upon a frame already, I did not need to use the parts included for a frame that attaches to the headboard. Instead, I unscrewed the pieces from behind the side panels and then used Alien Tape to affix them to my existing bedframe. I do really love this bed frame. I spent weeks looking for the right one, trying to gauge if it’s tall enough or not (I really wanted a high headboard). It was relatively easy to assemble, it did take 4-5 hours and the only hard part would be that the instructions weren’t clear when it used the bigger pieces, very easy to know what screws to use where. The instructions will clear on how to use all the materials that they packed into the back of the headboard. The only thing that wasn’t clear was where to put the slats when you were adding that in but again you can use your best judgment of where to add in the screws. I love the bed, I have no complaints the quality is really nice. I was able to carry and assemble this without assistance so if you wanted to assemble on your own it is possible. This bed did not need a box spring, but I did add one for extra height. The pictures with the white bedding is how it looks without a box spring and the one with stripes is how the bed looks with a box spring.
