This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. Item is exactly as described. My husband was able to assemble it himself without any complaints. I also went with a thicker mattress 16 inches. The hydraulics still work without any issue. I do wish it was taller. That would be way better storage and it would look more expensive. I’d say the top of the back frame reaches my chest level and I am 53. The color is not as all of as the photo maybe a little bit more emerald but if you brush it in different directions, it can go either way. Also, when I lift the mattress, it takes a good amount of strength, so I don’t have to worry about little ones lifting and smashing their fingers. You absolutely must put in the effort to lift.. It arrived in 2 weeks after purchase. Well packed and efficiently delivered. No damages. I took off a star because of a few issues 1) the assembly instructions are inconsistent. The corner where the sideboards and the headboard connect have two bolts. The instructions implye that they should be at the same level, such that the corner adapter can slide in hand fasten them together .However they were not. 2) one of the groves on the metal frame could not geip the screw provided.
