This Gesture chair was designed by Steelcase to be confident, intentional, and highly evolved with simple sophistication. The design was meant to inspire confidence that it would deliver a great experience time and time again. The key design driver was to fundamentally rethink the chair based on the movement of the human body and the way we work today. Gesture won the Neocon Gold Award in 2013.

Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. It adjusts to fit my height and the arm rests come in closer. I think this chair would still be great for average height people, but it's adjustable so that it works for smaller builds too.. Sg. USA. We've had this chair a few weeks now and it's been a great addition to the home office. Assembly was easy and straightforward. The chair is genuinely comfortable — the wide seat and high back make it easy to settle in for long stretches at the desk — and it feels sturdy and well built, with no wobble or creaking. It looks nicer in person than I expected, too. So far it's holding up to daily use without any complaints. Would recommend for anyone who wants a substantial, comfortable desk chair.. Elana. US. Very comfy chair! This one is a bit wider than the other (similar) option I found online which gives it a comfy vibe. It’s low to the ground, and the chair is really recline-y, but that’s part of what makes it comfortable. Love that it swivels around so that my husband can face different directions in his office.. Holy cow. These were so reasonably priced for clinic chairs that can be sanitized and can tolerate a very heavy person or an elderly person who may need arms to help themselves up. No assembly required. The plastic bumpers on each leg that are meant to keep them from scratching each other when stacked were broken - just a few of them had snapped off in transit. We have no plans to stack them so we don't care.. Anonymous. Trenton, ON. Mon May 08 2023
