It arrived in 2 weeks after purchase. Well packed and efficiently delivered. No damages. I took off a star because of a few issues 1) the assembly instructions are inconsistent. The corner where the sideboards and the headboard connect have two bolts. The instructions implye that they should be at the same level, such that the corner adapter can slide in hand fasten them together .However they were not. 2) one of the groves on the metal frame could not geip the screw provided. I initially thought it wouldn’t be an issue since I have carpet, but I’m experiencing the same problem. Seems like it is only good for flooring which should be mentioned in the description. I also received two boards that were noticeably dinged up, so I’m taking off a star for that. Overall, though, it’s a stunning piece. In the photo, I’m using a 9-inch box spring with a 12-inch mattress because I needed a bit of extra height for when my mom visits. I ordered this bed in the "Duck Gray" and was surprised to see it was a much lighter grey than the photo online. It's still a nice gray, but more of a light grey than a mid tone gray. Also the fabric looks more like a canvas linen than a true linen. The headboard fabric is not sewn directly onto the headboard, it is a slipcover that you slide over the headboard. At first I was annoyed but then I thought - well at least I can get it dry cleaned when it gets dirty - so it works out well. The bed took about an hour and a half to put together (with 2 people) but it's made well so it's very sturdy and was easy to assemble. It does have a sort of chemical smell to it, but I imagine that will go away with time. It also arrived 10 days sooner than originally anticipated which was a huge plus. We love this bed! My son loves to have a tent built around his bed with blankets and this provides a perfect framework for that. We just lay blankets over the frame and it’s like an instant cozy tent environment!
