This is a great swing. It was fairly easy to put together, although it's helpful to have 2 people for some of it. There is a small dent in the top bar, but not bad enough to send back. My new favorite thing to do outside..swing on my new swing! Well made, and not hard for my husband to put together. It did need some sanding, and we will put a finish on it to make sure that it stays nice. There are splits in some of the weight bearing pieces, but my husband assures me that is common with cedar, and won't effect the longevity of the swing. It's also very comfortable, with deep seats.. I love this porch swing! It is a great size. Why just the 4 stars? The instructions didn't have all the parts labeled and did not account for certain positions the pieces need to be in; you know, the things you realize when you're about finished with construction and realize the leg assembly on the right needs to be flipped around? Yeah, that made us decide to just leave the thing flipped wrong. Lol I took the pics right after a soaking rain, and you can see the design flaw with the fabric covering the top: the rainwater pools in sections no matter how much you have it tilted. It's a mess of a waterfall to refit the top. With that said, I really like the look and feel of this item, but my husband will need to put something sturdy and flat underneath the top shade thingy. The swing is pretty good quality. The wood is soft and is easy to align during assembly. It is to be determined on how weather resistant the swing is, but as is I am pleased with the design. It also holds both my wife and me without worries of collapsing! A few notes on assembly A lot of the stickers fell off while opening up the package, which made assembly a bit cumbersome but not impossible. Piece Q was rather difficult to interpret in the instructions, but if you look ahead you figure out it connects to the top rafters, but it is“installed” prior to those pieces. All tools are provided, but I recommend a rubber mallet and a power drill (at low speed of course!)  to get all the pieces in place and to get the screws in within a timely manner and minimal effort. Some bolts stick out a fair amount after installation, but nothing that can’t be used for or covered with decor. All the materials stayed intact with no defects or splintering, which is impressive for furniture like this that you have to assemble! The swing could use some cushions which we’ll be getting separately but the seat shape is quite comfortable regardless! All in all I’d give this a 45, only losing a star for assembly complications, but quality is impressive!. Andrea. US. Sun May 17 2026
