Rich tones and clean slatted lines give this storage bench a warm, grounding presence that feels right at home in bustling entryways or quiet bedrooms. The high back and gently flared arms nod to classic Mission design, while the lift-top seat conceals a roomy compartment for shoes, scarves, or seasonal layers. With its crisp edges and tailored profile, it adapts effortlessly to modern, transitional, or traditional spaces whether tucked beneath a window, placed at the foot of a bed, or anchoring a mudroom. Wherever it's placed, this piece keeps clutter out of sight while lending the room a polished, welcoming feel.
The Glenn 50 inch storage bench exceeded my expectations in both quality and pricing. I needed the storage for our winter hats, scarves and gloves to have at the ready when venturing out in our northern Michigan winters. I have always called these “deacon benches.” The sizing is generous holding so many items. This would literally work for a family of 6. This is true to size fitting into our foyer exactly as advertised at the 50 inches in width. (See photo). The wood is solid and without blemishes. The finish is a shiny dark brown color. This is solid and strong and does not wobble. The bottom of the storage area is a thinner wood and is rated to hold no more than 30 pounds. My husband assembled this in just under an hour. The small included Allen wrench did not fit the screws so my husband used his own Allen wrench. My only critique is that the included wrench did not fit. This bench is a quality item appearing rich and elegant in my home and I am sure to receive compliments.. Debbie. Gaylord, MI. Fri Oct 23 2026
